Team Night
Thursday, September 9th, 6:30 pm
Celebration Church, we are in an exciting season! It’s back-to-school time, which also means back-to-church time for many people. What does that mean for us as a church family? It’s time to get to work.
Perhaps you want to volunteer, but you don’t know what you could do to make a difference.
Or, maybe you want to serve in a particular area, but it looks like they don’t really need you there.
It’s even possible that you want to get involved, but don’t think you have the time to do it.
All of these reasons might keep us from joining a team, but consider what Jesus says in John 4:35,
“Do you not say, ‘Four more months and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for the harvest.”
Fall brings a whole new harvest of people to Celebration. Jesus goes on to say that we have all benefited from the hard work of others. Now it’s our turn to work so others may benefit from our service to the Lord.
Serving is not just something we do when we have time; it’s something we make time to do.
Don’t know where to serve? There are all kinds of places where you can get involved. You can start by checking out some opportunities at Serve Central.
I also really encourage you to join us for our upcoming Team Night, Thursday night, September 9th at 6:30 pm. First, you’ll have a chance to share a potluck with other team members. After that, we’ll cap the night off at the top of The Hill at our Georgetown Campus. The goal is for you to leave the night feeling more connected to a team and excited about what’s on the horizon. So what are you waiting for? It’s harvest time!
